Courtney

Hello there, my name is Courtney Kulzick! I have been in this industry for 10+ years, and I can truly say that I have found my calling. I love being behind the chair and making connections with the wonderful individuals who choose to see me. I strive to ensure that everyone leaves our time together feeling cared for, listened to, respected, educated, and confident.

Over the years I have worked with different product lines and approaches to cutting and coloring, including classes with many talented Redken educators, and in 2019 I was able to take a class with Jayne Matthews which completely reinvigorated my passion for cutting, especially with my trusty razor. Currently I consider my specialties to be razor cutting, precision cutting, low maintenance and natural looking color. I love cutting shags, mullets, textured bobs, pixies… and I would be thrilled to help you achieve your dream haircut and teach you how to maintain the look yourself. My favorite colors to work with are rich brunettes, the many various shades of red, sun-kissed blondes, and the occasional head-turning vivid. My ultimate goal is to listen to your hair wants and needs and translate them in the way that best suits you and makes you feel your best!

When I am not working behind the chair, I am spending time with my darling husband and sweet son, hanging out with friends, reading, cooking, going to concerts, traveling whenever possible, spending time outside, and trying out different restaurants, coffee shops, and cocktail bars. I moved to Madison in May of 2020, and our little family adores this city and all it has to offer. I am so thankful to have been able to establish myself in the hair community here and am so happy to be a part of the inspiring group at the Hair Collective.
